POC-451VTC – Ultra-compact in-vehicle computer
The POC-451VTC is an ultra-compact in-vehicle computer with E-Mark certification designed for use in in-vehicle applications, e.g. as a mobile gateway, mobile surveillance and passenger information system. With Intel® Elkhart Lake Atom® x6425E processors, it offers a 1.8x CPU and 2x GPU performance increase compared to the previous generation.
Mobile AI solution with expansion options
In addition, the POC-451VTC offers multiple M.2 and mPCIe slots for the installation of 4G/5G, WiFi5/6, CAN bus and Edge TPU modules for advanced in-vehicle applications. It can therefore extend WiFi and broadband wireless communications as well as provide AI inference functionality inside a compact footprint. To cope with the high-performance modules, POC-451VTC has a dedicated conduction-cooled heat spreader to dissipate the heat generated by M.2/mPCIe modules to maintain optimal system performance in high-temperature environments.
In terms of connectivity, the in-vehicle computer offers three 2.5GBASE-T Ethernet ports with PoE+ capability for powering PoE PD devices, such as IP and GigE cameras. The ports are backwards compatible with 1000/100 Mbps Ethernet and work with most existing Ethernet devices. The system also offers isolated DIO for sensor/actuator control and an 8V-35V wide range DC input with ignition current control for in-vehicle use.
Featuring remarkable performance, 2.5G PoE+ ports and superior thermal stability for communication and inference, the POC-451VTC is an AI-enabled mobile gateway solution which opens the gates to a new range of in-vehicle applications.
