PCIe-NPL54 – 4-channel GMSL2 frame grabber for edge AI applications

The PCIe-NPL54 from Neousys Technology is a compact, fanless frame grabber with four GMSL2 channels, designed for seamless integration of automotive cameras into x86 systems. It is specifically designed for demanding edge AI applications such as autonomous driving, driver assistance systems, mobile robots, and industrial image processing.

Reliable image quality in harsh environments

Thanks to its support for selected automotive GMSL2 cameras, the card enables stable image capture even in difficult lighting conditions. Features such as HDR with 120–140 dB, LED flicker mitigation, auto exposure, and auto white balance ensure consistent image quality. With a compact design, IP67/IP69K protection, and robust FAKRA cabling, the cameras are ideal for use in outdoor and industrial environments.

Efficient design with precise synchronization

The PCIe-NPL54 is based on modern FPGA technology and offers high efficiency with a power consumption of less than 20 W when operating with four 5 MP cameras at 30 FPS. It operates reliably in fanless operation at temperatures up to 70 °C and does not require an additional power connection. For precise sensor fusion, the card supports GPS PPS inputs and outputs, allowing multiple systems to be synchronized and expanded. Automatic restart after ESD-related interruptions ensures additional operational reliability. This makes the PCIe-NPL54 a future-proof solution for all applications that require powerful camera connectivity on x86 platforms without native MIPI interfaces – from automotive to industrial automation.
