Digi Connect® ES 8SB Switch: IEC 60601 certified advanced security terminal server with integrated switch
The Digi Connect® ES 8SB Switch provides advanced serial connectivity over Ethernet and is equipped with an integrated switch. With eight galvanically isolated RS-232 serial ports, a 10/100 Mbps network interface and an integrated Ethernet switch, this terminal server is the optimal solution for versatile applications.
Security and stability for critical environments
Developed for use in critical environments, the Digi Connect® ES 8SB switch complies with IEC 60601 3rd Edition standards. The galvanic isolation ensures enhanced electrical safety by preventing electric shocks in the event of physical contact with the device.
Digi’s innovative RealPort® technology enables seamless integration between the host and networked serial devices. Local COM or TTY ports are created on the host computer to support existing software applications without modification.
Maximum control and security for your network
With inbound/outbound and Telnet sessions on every port, system administrators have maximum control over networked serial devices. Additional security features such as Secure Shell (SSH v2) encryption protect against unauthorized network monitoring or “sniffing” to ensure the security of your data.
