Nuvo-2615RL series – Robust railway edge computer for video surveillance and analytics
The Nuvo-2615RL series is a fanless railway computer specifically designed for demanding video surveillance and analytics applications in rail vehicles. It is based on the powerful Intel® Atom® x6425E quad-core processor of the Elkhart Lake generation and offers up to 1.8 times the CPU performance of the previous Apollo Lake generation. Thanks to EN50155 and EN45545 certification, it meets the strict requirements for use in rail vehicles and ensures reliable operation in harsh environments.
Robust construction for use in extreme environments
The Nuvo-2615RL is designed for fanless operation in an extended temperature range of -40°C to 70°C (OT4 classification). Its robust design ensures that it works reliably even under adverse web conditions. Thanks to the isolated wide-range power supply from 43V to 160V DC, the system is equipped to withstand voltage fluctuations and power failures. A special feature is the integrated SuperCAP UPS, which can continue to operate the computer for up to 30 seconds in the event of a sudden power failure. If the power interruption lasts longer, a microcontroller (MCU) automatically triggers a safe system shutdown to prevent hardware and data loss and minimize maintenance costs.
High-performance video processing with PoE+ IP camera support
With four PoE+ Gigabit Ethernet ports (totaling up to 50W power), the Nuvo-2615RL series provides seamless connectivity for IP cameras in rail vehicles. This enables use as a network video recorder (NVR) or for AI-supported video analysis for safety and maintenance purposes. Thanks to the robust M12 connection architecture, the system ensures a secure and vibration-resistant network connection in mobile applications.
For storing extensive video data, the Nuvo-2615RL has an internal M.2 2280 SATA SSD drive and a front-accessible 2.5” HDD/SSD bay that supports storage media with up to 5TB capacity. In addition, the system offers two Mini PCIe slots for the integration of WiFi, GNSS or CAN modules as well as an M.2 3042/3052 B-key slot for expansion with 4G/5G cellular modules.
