PB-9250J-110V – SuperCAP emergency power supply for demanding railroad applications

The Neousys PB-9250J-110V is a newly developed SuperCAP UPS specifically designed for fast growing railroad applications with an input voltage of 110 V DC. Equipped with eight 370F supercapacitors, the PB-9250J-110V provides 9250 watt-seconds of stored energy to support back-end systems in the event of a power outage lasting from seconds to minutes. Unlike conventional battery-based UPS systems, the supercapacitor technology offers an extended temperature range and a long service life of up to 10 years. The PB-9250J-110V is suitable for operation at temperatures from -40 to 70 °C and ensures exceptionally high durability.

Reliable power management for critical railroad applications

Thanks to Neousys’ patented CAP power management technology, the PB-9250J-110V offers advanced features such as real-time energy and power consumption monitoring, high/low voltage protection and automatic and manual shutdown control. It independently manages the startup and shutdown process to keep your system running optimally when the power supply is unstable, as can occur during train journeys. Additional digital output channels are integrated to indicate system status such as charging, discharging and power button control.

Protect your systems from power failures on the rails

The PB-9250J-110V protects computers and other devices from power interruptions caused by events such as crossing level crossings or switching points. With EN 50155 and EN 45545 certification, the module can be easily integrated into existing computer systems or onboard distribution systems. This ensures high availability and reliability for critical railroad applications.

[1] To achieve > 10 years lifespan under 24/7 at 70°C operation, please charge PB-9250J-SA to 6525J energy level using the 4.8x SuperCAP Lifetime Extension setting (please refer to the user manual for details). Once the rated lifetime or cycle life has been reached, the capacity of supercapacitor may decrease up to 30% and ESR may increase up to 100% from initial values.
