Digi PortServer® TS 1 MEI – Serial interface extension for asynchronous connection
The Digi PortServer® TS 1 MEI (Multi-Electrical Interface) provides a flexible extension of RS-232/422/485 serial ports to easily connect any serial device to your network. This serial server combines the benefits of data networking with proven asynchronous connectivity, providing powerful Ethernet connectivity for all your serial devices.
Universal features for optimal performance
The Digi PortServer® TS MEI device servers offer universal and powerful features, including data security via SSHv2, port buffering and full SNMP management. These features make them ideal for serial port extension applications in manufacturing floors, gas pumps, industrial automation and other environments where efficient device management and monitoring are required.
Seamless integration thanks to RealPort® COM port redirector technology
All Digi device servers, including the Digi PortServer® TS 1 MEI, incorporate Digi’s patented RealPort® COM port redirector technology. This enables seamless integration between the host and the networked serial device by creating a local COM or TTY port on the host computer. This allows existing software applications to continue to function without modification.
