The Digi XBee® RR 2.4 GHz Zigbee RF module is a powerful and ultra-compact wireless module designed for modern IoT applications that require reliable mesh connectivity, low power consumption and high flexibility. Featuring Zigbee 3.0, BLE support (slave mode), and the ability to switch between different wireless technologies such as DigiMesh and 802.15.4, the module offers exceptional versatility for a wide range of use cases—from building automation and smart lighting to smart energy and healthcare applications.
The XBRR-24Z8CM-J model integrates a compact chip antenna, enabling extremely space-efficient designs. With its footprint of just 13 × 19 mm, the module is ideal for portable, battery-powered and space-constrained devices. Offering a line-of-sight range of up to 1,200 meters and a transmit power of +8 dBm, the XBee RR ensures stable and reliable wireless performance even in demanding industrial environments.
Configuration is highly flexible using API or AT commands—either locally or over-the-air (OTA). With tools such as Digi XCTU®, the Digi XBee Mobile App, or a gateway like Digi IX15, the module can be easily configured, monitored and integrated into existing IoT infrastructures. The built-in Digi TrustFence® security architecture provides comprehensive protection for device identity, data integrity and network access.
