Digi XBee® RR 2.4 GHz 802.15.4 RF Module: Wireless Networking Module for IoT Solutions within the XBee® Ecosystem
The Digi XBee RR 2.4 GHz 802.15.4 RF module is a powerful and compact wireless module designed for fast integration, high flexibility and reliable communication. Supporting the 2.4 GHz ISM band, the 802.15.4 protocol and additional protocols such as Zigbee®, DigiMesh® and BLE (slave mode), the module provides a future-proof platform for a wide variety of IoT applications, ranging from building automation and smart lighting to smart energy and digital health solutions.
The XBRR-24ACM-J model features an integrated chip antenna, enabling compact integration without the need for external antenna components. With its extremely small footprint of just 13 × 19 mm, the module is ideal for portable, space-constrained or battery-powered devices. Offering a line-of-sight range of up to 1200 m and a transmit power of 6.3 mW (+8 dBm), the XBee RR delivers strong and stable performance even in industrial environments.
Configuration is highly flexible via API or AT commands, either locally or over-the-air (OTA). With Digi TrustFence®, the module includes modern security mechanisms that safeguard device identity, data privacy and overall network protection. Tools such as Digi XCTU®, the Digi XBee Mobile App, or a gateway integrated with Digi Remote Manager® allow centralized configuration, monitoring and updates for the entire network.
