Digi Edgeport® 216 – USB-to-serial converter for enhanced flexibility and scalability
The Digi Edgeport® USB-to-serial converters provide instant I/O expansion for connecting peripheral devices. A ready-to-use (external) alternative to PCI cards, the Digi Edgeport® 216 makes it easy to add serial and USB ports to a PC, server or thin client in minutes – without opening the chassis, reconfiguring or rebooting the system.
Instant expansion of input and output options
Edgeport is available in multiple configurations for maximum flexibility and scalability. Choose from compact form factors for space-constrained applications, bump-in-the-cable solutions with a connector for notebook expansion, software-selectable RS-232/422/485 models to connect any serial device to a box, and DB-9 or DB-25 connectors to meet cabling requirements.
