Digi PortServer® TS 4 – Simple serial-to-Ethernet connection
The Digi PortServer® TS 4 provides a simple, reliable and cost-effective solution for connecting up to four serial devices over industry standard Ethernet. Target applications include retail/ point-of-sale, building control and medical point-of-care systems.
Patented RealPort® technology
Digi’s patented RealPort® technology enables seamless integration between the host and the four networked serial devices. Local COM or TTY ports are established on the host computer, allowing software applications to work with the networked device servers without the need for a host adapter.
Easy installation and configuration
Installation of the Digi PortServer® TS 4 is simple and can be done both locally and remotely using various IP addressing methods (DHCP, RARP, ARP ping). An application on the installation CD automatically detects the PortServer device on your network, further simplifying configuration.
*The RealPort encryption feature is compatible with Microsoft Windows® 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and Windows Server® 2012, 2016, 2019 and Linux®. RealPort authentication feature is only compatible with Microsoft Windows® 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and Windows Server® 2012, 2016, 2019.
