Description
Digi Connect® ES 4SB: IEC 60601-certified advanced security terminal server
Digi Connect® ES provides serial connectivity over Ethernet and is compliant with IEC 60601 3rd Edition. It features four or eight galvanically isolated RS-232 serial ports with a 10/100 Mbps network interface and an optional Ethernet switch.
Advanced security for critical applications
Digi Connect® ES 4SB is used in applications that provide Ethernet connections from serial devices to the central data management system. Galvanic isolation provides enhanced electrical safety by preventing electrical shock in the event of physical contact with the Digi Connect® ES.
Patented RealPort® COM port redirector technology
Digi’s patented RealPort® COM port redirector technology provides a seamless connection between the host and a networked serial device. It creates a local COM or TTY port on the host computer, allowing existing software applications to function without modification.
Additional features for maximum control and security
Inbound/outbound and Telnet sessions on each port give system administrators a high level of control over networked serial devices. Additional features include Secure Shell (SSH v2) encryption to protect against unauthorized network monitoring or sniffing.
